Orana’s work experience program is designed for students in their final year of school who are looking to explore future employment opportunities. This program offers hands-on job training across a range of roles at Orana worksites, tailored to each student’s abilities and interests.
Orana’s work experience program offers hands-on job training at Orana employment sites. Students work in real roles suited to their skills, interests, and support needs. The experience helps build workplace readiness, develop social and communication skills, and prepare students for future employment.
All students must complete Orana’s intake process before starting, including review of:
Schedule: One day per week for a full school term
Hours: 9.00 am – 3.30 pm (within regular school hours)
Supervision: A school-appointed SSO must attend with each student
Location: Various Orana employment sites across SA

Orana is a trusted provider of supported employment for people with disability. Students who complete our work experience program may transition into paid employment with Orana, with opportunities to grow and take on new responsibilities over time. Supported employment is ideal for young people who want to build skills while receiving structured assistance on the job.
