NDIS Day Programs, Activities and Short Breaks

At Orana, we support people with disability to build real connections, develop life skills, and enjoy meaningful participation in their community. Our Community Options offer a wide range of inclusive day programs, social activities, events, and short breaks, all tailored to individual needs and NDIS goals. Whether you want to meet new people, learn new skills, or simply have fun, Orana is here to support you every step of the way.

What is Community Options?

Community Options offers flexible, person-centred services designed to support people with disability in living fulfilling, connected lives. These include structured weekday programs, ongoing group activities, one-off events, and short-term holiday breaks. All programs are delivered by trained staff and designed to meet NDIS funding goals or self-funded arrangements.

Our Programs at a Glance

We run structured weekday programs from Monday to Friday, both at Orana hubs and in the community. Options include:

  • Western Metro Program (Ridleyton): Social skill-building, creative workshops, outings
  • Port Augusta Program: Cooking, fitness, community access, and life skills
  • Life Education (Ridleyton): Literacy, numeracy, daily living, and emotional wellbeing

All programs are designed to support NDIS plan goals.

Activities

Get involved in regular social and recreational activities that promote movement, creativity, and connection.

  • Dance Down: Weekly dance classes for all ages and abilities
  • Club Strike: Monthly ten-pin bowling leagues for youth and adults

Experiences

Attend concerts, theatre performances, sporting events, or special community nights, such as Club Slick. These events are all about having fun, building confidence, and fostering social growth in inclusive settings.

Short Breaks

Our short breaks offer weekend or school holiday trips for youth and adults. Participants can explore new places, meet peers, and develop independence — all while families receive respite.

  • Weekend retreats for adults (18+)
  • School holiday programs for children and teens with disability

Who Can Participate?

Anyone with an NDIS plan or the ability to self-fund is welcome to participate. No prior experience is needed.
