Orana Wins at the Port Augusta Community Christmas Tree Festival

Orana Community Options has taken out 1st Place in the People’s Choice Award at the Port Augusta City Council Community Christmas Tree Festival with their tree, “A Thrifty Christmas.”

The annual festival brings together local organisations to design and decorate themed Christmas trees, with the wider community voting for their favourite. Orana’s winning entry captured hearts with its thoughtful, resourceful approach, celebrating sustainability, creativity and the joy of making something special from simple materials.

The festive spirit didn’t stop there. In a heartwarming gesture, the 3rd place winners, the Department for Education Student Support Services and Department of Human Services, generously donated their $50 prize money to Orana Community Options to help purchase craft supplies for the program. The act of kindness was a beautiful reflection of the community spirit that defines the festival.
