The Orana Gratitude Wall

The Orana Gratitude Wall began in April at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic while everyone was physically isolating, as a reminder to help everyone reflect on what they are grateful and thankful for and remember them visually. The Gratitude Wall is now a dedicated space at Orana’s Netley office, where staff from around Orana have expressed their appreciation and gratitude.

Staff sent through comments, observations or a photo to put up on the Gratitude Wall, either anonymously or if really brave, a signed name included.

Seven scientifically proven benefits from participating in a gratitude activity:

  • Improves self esteem
  • Increases mental strength
  • Improves physical health
  • Improves psychological health
  • Grateful people sleep better
  • Enhances empathy & reduces aggression
  • Opens the door to more relationships

The Gratitude Wall has proven to be quite popular with staff. A big thank you to all who have forwarded their thoughts and photographs so far.
