Orana’s response to COVID-19
COVID-19 has dominated the headlines and generally our thoughts and conversations over the past few months and it continues to do so as we continue to navigate the challenges of the COVID-19 outbreak. Although the COVID-19 pandemic appears to be ‘contained’ in SA, the wellbeing of our clients, their families, our staff, employees and volunteers will remain Orana’s number one priority.
Orana’s Business Continuity Team has been closely monitoring the situation from the start and made decisions to protect the health and safety of our clients, staff and the community generally, taking proactive measures to help to reduce the spread of illness throughout our community.
As a precautionary measure, Orana activated its Pandemic Response Plan in early March, in line with advice from the Australian Government and the World Health Organisation (WHO) and continue to follow protocols as directed by The Department of Health, revisiting these protocols as necessary.
At this point, it is important to note that there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases within Orana and our sites and services continue to operate in line with recommendations made by the Federal and State Governments and the Department of Health.
We have taken many precautionary measures over the last few months in response to COVID-19 and we will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Orana will continue to support clients and staff in the safest possible manner to ensure their health and wellbeing and will follow protocols as directed by The Department of Health and revisit these protocols as necessary.
