A Community Announcement
With the current concern of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the wellbeing of our clients, their families, our staff and volunteers remains Orana’s number one priority.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced that COVID-19 is a pandemic and the situation is changing rapidly.
Orana is treating Coronavirus as a top priority and is taking all possible steps to reduce the risks to our clients, staff and the community more broadly.
We have been closely monitoring the situation, and are making decisions in the best interest of the health and safety of our clients, staff and the community generally.
Currently, there have been no confirmed COVID-19 cases within our sites or houses, with all sites and services remaining open and in full operation at this time.
Even so, with the number of cases across the state increasing, Orana is taking proactive measures to help to reduce the spread of illness throughout our community.
As a precautionary measure and to protect the safety and wellbeing of our clients and staff, Orana has activated its pandemic response plan, in line with advice from the Australian Government and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Orana remains open for business and will continue to support our clients and staff in the safest possible manner to ensure their health and wellbeing. We will continue to follow protocols as directed by The Department of Health, and revisit theses protocols as necessary.
We understand that the daily routine of our clients and staff may be affected. These are unprecedented times but we need to ensure that the welfare of our clients and staff remain paramount as we work through this difficult time.
