150 million reasons to celebrate

Orana’s Business Services recently celebrated a momentous achievement, as our employees reached a major milestone for one of Orana’s long-standing customer, Schneider Electric.

For over 25 years, Orana has partnered with Schneider Electric, formerly Clipsal. During this time, Orana employees assembled and packaged over 150 million ‘dollies’ parts! Dollies are an important component of Schneider Electric’s products, and they are shipped from Orana to their Gepps Cross factory to be assembled into 20,000 switches per day.

Schneider Electric staff from both the Adelaide and Sydney Head Office, visited Orana’s Netley Business Services in April to present them with a ‘Golden Dollie’ in recognition of their monumental achievement.

Employees from Murray Bridge, Port Pirie, Port Augusta, Loxton, Mount Gambier, and Netley, have worked hard to achieve this milestone, with up to 80 people involved in the project on any given day.

“It was great to see the passion and dedication of Orana employees during our visit. The Golden Dollie awarded to Orana is very special and you should all be very proud.” Schneider Electric, Director of Manufacturing, Damien Spy said.
