NDIS Update

Specialist Disability Accommodation and Price Guide updates
Changes to Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) have been announced to improve choice and control for eligible NDIS participants, build market confidence and drive stronger investment into sufficient accommodation.
The provisions of SDA have improved under reforms announced in February.
The reforms include changes to the SDA Pricing and Payments framework and the SDA Rules. They aim to provide greater surety to providers and investors, support more timely eligibility decisions and give participants more control over living arrangements.
The NDIA has also published a new SDA Price Guide for the 2018-19 financial year. This new price guide introduced a number of changes to pricing for participants with complex needs.
Committed to delivering a financially sustainable NDIS, the NDIA sets the price for some supports to ensure they are value for money.
Changes to price limits are updated to respond to market trends and changes in costs.
The updated price guides are available from the NDIS website:
https://www.ndis.gov.au/providers/price-guides-and-information
Each price limit list includes the publication date to help providers ensure they are using the most up to date pricing information.
Not all NDIS support items have price limits and the price guide doesn’t list all supports. The price guide lists the supports that have maximum prices and sets out other rules that are part of NDIA’s market intervention approach. You can find disability supports, recognised by the NDIS, on the support catalogue list.
