Stay in touch with Orana Summer 2018
A gleaming life
Wayne is being supported by Orana to get out and about and participate in a diverse range of community events and activities.
For the past year, Wayne has been actively attending painting classes at the Broughton Art Society.
Wayne really enjoys the experience of holding the brush and painting all sorts of images. He has developed a unique style with his painting, making it easy to recognise his artwork at group exhibitions.
Wayne’s artwork was recently selected for the ‘Art of Gold’ Broughton Art 50th Annual Exhibition at the Fullarton Park Community Centre Hughes Gallery, where other Orana client’s artwork is also on show.
Wayne’s art tutor says Wayne is very individual, his technique has improved and he knows what he wants to do. He enjoys painting, as well as socialising with his mates at the centre.
Wayne was happy to show us his artwork at the exhibition and let us take a snap shot of his recent creations.
Tanya and Dean, clients from Orana, are also exhibiting their artwork at the ‘Art of Gold’ exhibition.
We are also proud to share that the opening night invitation featured artwork by Tanya R., Orana’s client from Accommodation Services.
Well done guys! Keep up the colourful brush strokes!
*The Broughton Art Society is a vibrant community legacy of the late Ian Broughton, a talented young artist affected by Muscular Dystrophy. The exhibitors all live with disability. Classes at Broughton are designed to discover hidden talents, tap into the imagination, develop potential and extend artistic skills. Their wonderful and inspiring creations are testament to the intricacy of the human brain and the potency of the human spirit.
